For Christmas I got Spider-Verse, a big book collecting the comics involved in a big story arc. In it a family of immortals hunt and kill all spider totems, which includes every Spider-Man/Woman/Girl on every alternate earth. Some of the various Spider-Men find out about them, and team up in self defense.
They managed to pull in pretty much Every Spider-Man for this. You see the 60's animated version, 80's version, Spidey's daughter from the M2 line, the 70's live action Japanese Spider-Man, Spider-Ham, even side shorts for the newspaper strip one, and the Hostess pastry ads one. One quick outtake has two Spideys referring to the movie versions, and I think Electric Company one.
I liked the story, even with the plot holes. Always thought he was one of the greatest heroes, and it was cool to see a whole army of them.
Lets get animated!
Hey everyone, been a while. Well, just wanted to share this little bit. This week found out about a website/app MyHeritage. It is one of those ancestry sites, but they added a very cool option. They can take your old family photos and use DeepFake technology to animate the faces!! Also found out it works pretty well with artwork. So if you want to see a closeup of your character looking around you can get it pretty easily. The limit is 5 animations for free, then you need a subscription. So if you want to do a bunch of pictures might want to gather them up to do all at once, then just do one month subscription. Anyway, here is a couple that I had made. Original: And the animation: And one of Rogue, my favorite X-Men character:
Thanks everyone
Thanks for all the birthday well wishes.
Had a good day. Spent most of it playing City of Heroes!! Loved that game as you can probably guess. Did a lot of badge hunting with my original character (FireBrandi) when the original game ended I had 1311 badges. 4 months of playing this new one and I've got 855 so far. :D, ...yea, I'm a badge addict.... Also got all the Incarnate powers unlocked and close to maxing out. Will have to get back to leveling Kim up after that. Once Kim is an incarnate.. then maybe I should get back to that pile of miniatures to be painted, the pile is getting awful big..
RPG Nostalgia
Last December I saw a book that really caught my eye. "Empires of Imagination" a biography of Gary Gygax, the creator of Dungeons & Dragons. Grabbed a copy and sent it off to my nephew, who met his wife through D&D. Got a copy for myself as well, and just recently finished reading it. Very interesting to see all the drama that was going on behind the scenes at TSR. Rather sad to see how he got screwed over at times. The book was also good enough to show the guy's flaws, and how some of his problems were his own creations, rather than just be a fawning fan book. Highly recommended for old school D&D players, or any big RP
Hey 3D artists, you might want to see this!
My favorite book of all time, "Ready Player One" is being made into a move by Steven Spielberg. Most of the story takes place in the future, in a virtual reality universe that everyone in the world uses when going online.
Well the makers of the movie have made an offer to 3D artists to send in their own creations of an avatar they would use. Some of those avatars will actually get used in the movie!!!!
maybe some of you out there will be tempted by the offer, and we'll get to see a familiar face or two in the movie. :)

I'm glad you liked it. For Spider-Man, I've only read Superior Spider-Man.
